What we did in class today:

Language Arts:

We began to draft scenes for our realistic fiction pieces.

Creative Communications is an optional poetry and essay contest for our kids. Extra credit will be given. I'm available to edit.

Social Studies:

We attended a presentation by author Neil Shusterman. Ask your young author!

Homework

Language Arts

1. Read 20 minutes. Post your reading to the reading log on http://56reading.wikispaces.com/

2. Write for at least five minutes on your Daily Writing Blog on your Weebly site. Write your choice of genre: narrative, expository, poetry, media reviews, memoir, et. al.

3. Red packets for Sojourner are due for 507 on Thursday 4-30.

4. Mr. Seefelt Essays: Read your Mr. Seefelt essay aloud for your parent(s) and answer question on Moodle at 5/6 Everyone #22. Due Thursday April 30.

Social Studies

1.Current Events Week 3'ers. Post to Moodle by Wednesday April 29. Responses by May 1. Ask your student for details. The assignment is clearly explained on Moodle.

2. Read China Book Club Book. Assessment for 505 AND 507 (note change) on Thursday April 30.

3. Review Study Guide for China Test (505 only. 507 will receive theirs Thursday)

4. Share Scholastic News with parents. Be ready to report back to Mr. Joe on Thursday 4-30.
