Language Arts:
We discussed characterization and the way authors create and know characters before they begin to write stories.
Creative Communications is an optional poetry and essay contest for our kids. Extra credit will be given. I'm available to edit.
Social Studies:
We continued our study of Chinese population growth and its implication for the country's future.
Homework
Language Arts
1. Read 20 minutes. Post your reading to the reading log on http://56reading.wikispaces.com/
2. Write for at least five minutes on your Daily Writing Blog on your Weebly site. Write your choice of genre: narrative, expository, poetry, media reviews, memoir, et. al.
Social Studies
1.Current Events Week 2'ers. Post to Moodle by Wednesday April 22. Responses by April 24. Ask your student for details. The assignment is clearly explained on Moodle.
2. Read China Book Club Book. Assessment for 505 on Tuesday April 28 and 507 on Thursday April 30.
