What we did in class today:

Language Arts:

We created story mountains to develop our fiction stories.

Creative Communications is an optional poetry and essay contest for our kids. Extra credit will be given. I'm available to edit.

Social Studies:

We created videos as an end-of-book project for our China novels.

Homework

Language Arts

1. Read 20 minutes. Post your reading to the reading log on http://56reading.wikispaces.com/

2. Write for at least five minutes on your Daily Writing Blog on your Weebly site. Write your choice of genre: narrative, expository, poetry, media reviews, memoir, et. al.

Social Studies

1.Current Events Week 3'ers. Post to Moodle by Wednesday April 29. Responses by May 1. Ask your student for details. The assignment is clearly explained on Moodle.

2. Review Study Guide for China Test on Monday 5-4.

3. Share Scholastic News with parents. Be ready to report back to Mr. Joe on Friday 5-1.
