Terrific Tuesday






Reading - We will use our Unit 3 stories as mentor texts for our new narrative writing piece.

Writing - We discussed "feeling" stories and began writing them in our writing workshop.


Word Study (Grammar, Vocabulary, Spelling) - Grammar Packet #6 due Thursday


Social studies

We reviewed and graded examples of student current event summaries using the rubric.

Homework…

Language Arts:

1. Read a book of your choosing for at least 20 minutes.

2. R&E #4 due Tuesday January 29.

3. Burn a CD of your 10 favorite songs of all time (school appropriate.) Due Wednesday January 16.

4. Grammar Packet #6 due Thursday January 17.


Social Studies

Mr.Joe voted because he is passionate about who is elected President of the U.S. And he knows that every vote counts.
