What we did in class today:
Language Arts:
We celebrated our work as essayists by sharing our writing in our author's celebration. I am very proud of our students and their writing.
Creative Communications is an optional poetry and essay contest for our kids. Extra credit will be given. I'm available to edit.
Social Studies:
We examined different word patterns and families and played school Scrabble.
Homework

1. Read 20 minutes. Post your reading to the reading log on http://56reading.wikispaces.com/
2. R&E #3 - Due week of January 5. Practice your book commercial at least three times.
Social Studies
Current Events Week 1'ers. Post to Moodle by Wednesday December 17. Responses by December 19. Ask your student for details. The assignment is clearly explained on Moodle.
