Reading -
Writing - We continued writing our Growing Up narratives on draft paper today. Ask your child what element of author's craft they were working on as a writer today. Word Study (Grammar, Vocabulary, Spelling) -
Social studies
We discussed the different attitudes towards colonial defiance from both Loyalist and Patriot viewpoints. We also completed a worksheet on facts related to Iraq. Ask your child about why the Sumerians started a civilization in the Euphrates valley
Language Arts:
1. Read a book of your choosing for at least 20 minutes.
2. R&E #6 due March 18, 2008.
3. All bloggers who created blogs for R&E 4 must update their blog by Friday February 29, 2008. They need to indicate what they're reading now, their impressions on the book, and a link to a relevant website. NOTE: This is only for students who have created a blog in the month of January. This was an option, not a requirement.
