What We Did in Class Today

Language Arts - We continued to go through the editing process with our personal narratives.

Social Studies - We continued to explore the connections between artifacts found in Ancient Sumer and how they evidenced the existence of a sophisticated civilization.

Homework

Language Arts

1. Read 20 minutes

2. Prepare for Response and Exploration #1. Due week of 10-20. Each student has different day. Ask student for details. Check 91 Ways to Respond to Literature for ideas.


Social Studies

1. Bring in at least one image of yourself engaged in one of the multiple intelligences. Due Friday 10-17.

2. Current Events Week 1'ers. Post to Moodle by Wednesday October 15. Responses by October 17. Ask your student for details. The assignment is clearly explained on Moodle.

3. Web page research and creation. Investigate at least two of the following three website creation sites. Due Monday October 20.

1. Create an account and Home page.
2. Crate a Language Arts page.
3. Create a Social Studies page.
