Skate 'n Bowl

We had a blast today at Skate World and Thunderbird Lanes! I enjoyed the day thoroughly and loved the opportunity to spend some fun out-of-school time with the kids.

We honored Mrs. Wilkie this morning as a finalist for the Birmingham Teacher of the Year for 2008. Ask your kiddo about our tribute letters and song. Listen to it here.

I will be in class tomorrow until 9am, but then have to leave to attend my uncle's funeral. I'm sorry I won't be present the whole day. I have had the most amazing year this year thanks to all the fabulous parents and students in the Wilkie-Joe community. Please continue to email and call me if there's anything I can do for you this summer, now or anytime.

Extra Credit Current Events: The world does not take summer vacation! As such, I will give extra credit to all students entering 5th or 6th grade in the fall of 2008, and will email the 7th grade teachers of any students who continue to post current events articles and opinions to this site. Moodle will close soon and won't reopen until the fall.
